Issue when registering a new user

Hi,

I've just installed jomsocial and have tried to create a new user via the front-end.
After the first step (entering the login details) I clicked on the next button and it directed me to a page that just said "Invalid Token". Can you please help? I'm not sure why it is doing this.

i already check your site http://p***rm.ma***nam.net/myfarmstore/

i already registered and i can't see invalid token there, you can check on user manager with test01 as the name.. i suggest you to clear browser cache and try again :)

Hi David,

Thanks for your response however still no luck. I have tried on two different computers as well as clearing the cache.

I know you can register on the normal site but I'm having the issue after clicking on the jomsocial menu item that goes to http://p***rm.ma***nam.net/myfarmstore/jomsocial

i will assigned this to other developer, maybe they can test it too... if our developers don't get this issue, we don't have idea how to replicate it :)

Hi David,

Did we have any luck with the other developer?
I have tried once again to register a new user. The page is now under /myfarmstore/my-farm-store/register
I received the invalid token message once again after filling in the initial username, password, name and email fields.

I have tried registering a new user in both chrome and firefox. I have tried on multiple computers and still receive the message Invalid Token.
Cache is not enabled on the server or the browsers.

Occassionally it goes on to the next registration step but the last few times I have tried it displays the invalid token message.

What do I do, because this still isn't working for me. What's the next step?

This is very weird, anyway can you try test with another Joomla template? and disabled this component com_xius and ? because I get this error when register to your website :

Strict Standards: Non-static method XiusJsfieldTable::_buildQuery() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /home/platform/public_html/myfarmstore/components/com_xius/libraries/plugins/jsfields/base.php on line 179

Note : I just registered again and still working fine for me..

we have already tried another template and makes no difference - it is the JomSocial register process causing the issue.

We have only just installed the Xius component .... it is a Joomlaxi/ReadyBytes advanced search JomSocial user search component. The problem with trying to register and getting token error was happening from the first moment we installed JomSocial - before the Xius component was installed.

We can register fine via Joomla ..... the register via JomSocial is broken and give s the invalid token message.

This is not template related - as same error on default Joomla template.

This is not xius component related - as same error before this component was installed.

Have tried different networks, different browsers, different OS .... all the same error.

Just tried in safari (on mac) on which this site has NEVER been opened on previously
.... and got exactly the same error: Invalid Token

So this is a definite problem ... it is not us ... it is the program. Please try to resolve ASAP.

I am sorry this is taking some time to resolve, i have now been able to replicate the issue consistently but the developer wasn't able to. Now this has happened we are looking into this a priority. I am hoping to get this resolved for you ASAP.

Hi Max,

Can you try again, please? this issue caused by cache plugin, I already configured cache and cleaned the cache from backend..

If you still get this issue, please try disabled com_xius component and System - NoNumber Cache Cleaner plugin, because the invalid token is come from those extenstions.
