I saw this morning in jomsocial backend a notification saying I had messages blocked.
In general how does messages can be blocked ?
For what I've seen it seems to be messages that had to be sent to other members but i set a limit of 1000 messages per day and I'm sure that at least one user hasn't sent more than 1000 persons per day (see message id 4 in green on attached file) and I also have administrors message (see message id 5 in red on attached file)
Thanks to JUST WATCH in backend but do anything on my production server.
It means that email is blocked according to user privacy settings. It seems that you disabled receiving emails for certain activity in your privacy settings (in Profile preferences in frontend).
Please, check your settings.

Do the sender receives an alert if he send invitations to it's jomsocial friends for an event (because i think that's what happened) and invites more than the limit ?
Yes, sender should receive notification (a modal window) with notice that he/she reached limit of sending invitations.
But if user unchecked receiving notifications and emails for certain action then no notification is shown to sender that invited user will not receive message as he/she blocked it.
