Hello team,

How can I, preferably via overrides, disable the tickbox "friends with avatar only" and have the system searching for any community member?

Thanks,
Andre

hi Andre.

Please go to file > components/com_community/templates/default/search.advancesearch

and comment or remove this code

"<label class="lblradio" style="padding-right: 20px;"><input type="checkbox" name="avatar" id="avatar" style="margin-right: 5px;" value="1" class="input radio"<?php echo ($avatarOnly) ? ' checked="checked"' : ''; ?>><?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_EVENTS_AVATAR_ONLY'); ?></label>"

Hi Chris,

The COM_COMMUNITY_EVENTS_AVATAR_ONLY and Please go to file > components/com_community/templates/default/search.advancesearch was good to give me a clue but since search can happen in several different ways I also had to create overrides to;

> components/com_community/templates/default/search
and
> components/com_community/templates/default/search.submenu

Now the tickbox is 100% removed from searches performed via Friends menu.

Thanks,
Andre
