Hi,
I am using Jomsocial 3.2.05, Joomla 3.3 and Socialize template. When I go the the member search and enter a user name that I know exists it does not return any results. I have tried with the 'members with avatars only' both selected and deselected, and even pasted exact user name values and still it returns nothing.
If I do the same search using the advanced search, it works fine.
Is this a bug?
Mel
Hi, Melanie.
Please provide us with working administrator credentials.
I can't login to your site.
Please, edit your first post and add credentials to corresponding fields.
Hi Michal,
I have added the details. One other question, I am testing the Save Search Filters. I created a search and saved it - filling all the details, but now I cannot find it. There doesn't appear any menu link or anything to a 'My Saved Search Filters'. How do we recall these?
Mel
Hi, Melanie.
First I thought that this is menu issue... so I changed menu - sorry about that.
But then just realized that all your users (except 2: one disabled and Amy) are super users. Ad you set in JomSocial configuration to hide administrators on user list.. so no user was shown :) I disabled it and now search works :)
Hi Michal,
thanks so much - you are right it works!
No problem about the menu is was easily put right :)
Regarding my final question, how do I find the save search filters? there doesn't appear any way to view them?
Hi, Melanie.
When you save search you need to choose menu and your search is saved as a menu item in that menu :)
Ah,
now it makes sense :)
Is there any way to force it to save to one menu only? I have created a filters menu, and want all users filters to go into that (at the moment they can save them all over the place).
Mel
Hi, Melanie.
No, It can't be done out-of-the-box.
This requires coding so you'll need developers help:
www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers
OK thanks.
I suppose that also answers my last question which was can I set it so that only the user can see their own filters? I see it lets us set permissions, but I can't see one for for 'Only Me'
Mel
Hi, Melanie.
Only users with admin access right can save search filters. Common users can't do it.
So there is no use to customize it... but that's up to you ;)
