New User Registration Broken?

I'm not sure what's going on - I set up profile questions in JomSocial, set those questions to be used in the registration process, and then tested it out and everything worked fine. I got the registration email (although I didn't activate the new account yet).

I went to set my 'apply' link in my main menu to the registration page (Menu Item Type: Users Management > Registration Form) and now neither the Apply link or the 'register new account' link work?

I thought this might be because I'd created an account that I hadn't registered (maybe it was a session thing), but the few friends I've had test it out have gotten the same page.

I'd also like to know how to remove the 'Get connected, join now it's free' splash ad? The second registration thing shown right after they've completed registering is going to confuse users.

You need to set up the menu item "apply" to JomSocial - register menu item type. And about the get connected thing, I'm pretty sure somebody already provided such customization on our forum, please give me some time to find it.
