Hello, i have a multilingual jomsocial website and I would like to automatically set the language field value to the language the member used during the registration process.

Currently the language is set to the default language and the member has to login and change the language in his profile afterwards.

It is not possible with jomsocial existing package.
There is an amount of customization involved and you need to customize it as it is beyond our support range.

You can add a field as like others at root/components/com_community/libraries/fields
and if you want to see with jomsocial package then
you can raise your voice at uservoice.jomsocial.com/forums/101561-feature-request
