We can enter any special character, but when we try to write "ż" in the comment field, nothing happens. Works on the mobile device though (due to different text input method?). I don't provide login details, as you can easily replicate issue on demo.jomsocial.com.

Please help ASAP! Our users are very confused as we discovered this bug after going live. I would be grateful for even quick fix/hack.

Cześć Artur.

Does it apply to activity stream? Or to Groups? Events? Photos? Videos? Discussions in Groups?
Could you narrow possibilities? :)

I tested on main and profile activity streams: prntscr.com/3eu9kk and it works... also for Photos and Videos...

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Cześć Michał,

the problem appears in the both new "post box" and the comment fields in the activity stream. We checked in Chrome, IE 11, and Firefox. All users also have the same problem.
Where you managed to input "gżegżółka" I can't. Maybe this has got something to do with different keyboard you have?

Please help, this is really annoying to our users!

Hi, would you have a clue on this issue? All our users have it and it is a big pain. All other special characters work, only "ż" doesn't. You can see the issue at tanie-loty.com.pl/spolecznosc. There was no problem before the upgrade. The issue is definitely with version 3.2, as as I said I'm also having this problem @ demo.jomsocial.com ( 3 different computers and different browsers). I can only enter "ż" from my Android device, but not from any Windows PC.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Cześć Artur.

This time I'll need to login to your site. So could you provide us with working credentials?
I'm using typical settings for Polish keyboard... but I'm on Linux so maybe that's the reason?
Let my try it on your site directly...

Cześć Michal, thanks for getting back. I have updated the post and given you Admin access. You can obviously use it for frontend login as well.

However, you should not need to do it, THE ERROR IS IN ALL Jomsocial 3.2 websites. Our developer says the error is most likely somewhere in Jomsocial javascript.

I have recorded a video showing this error on YOUR demosite:; youtu.be/rCQ7hfpYa7Y . We get it on all Windows computers and browsers. I believe most people in Poland would get this error.

Cześć Artur.

I confirmed that when on Windows, users can't enter "ż" into post box...
I'll ask our js developer for advice.

Ok, it's marked as a bug.
It's quite interesting that it apply only to Windows...
Nevertheless I'll provide you with solution when it will be fixed.

Cześć Michał,

thanks, this has solved the issue! You are the best :)

Pls let me know once this fix is incorporated into the installation package, so we don't have to remember about putting it up after every Jomsocial update.

Best regards.
