SEF breaks jsocial menu bar

Once SEF is turned on in joomla config the jsocial menu bar does not go to the right page.
In fact in my case they all say the correct url in the address bar but they display the group page for every menu item.
If you use the non SEF direct url the page shows up fine for every jsocial menu item.

I have currently only tested this signed in as a registered user not super user.

I did note I am using 3.1.1 for Jomsocial.

This is on my Dev site.

Hi, Dan.

You just messed menu items. Please, remember JomSocial Golden Rule:

If you want to have link to any JomSocial page (except frontpage and register page) and lonk to that page already exist in JomSocial toolbar menu - use menu aliases instead creating new, direct link to JomSocial page.

I disabled all additional links to JomSocial pages in your main menu and created link to JomSocial frontpage.

Now it works without any issues.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
