I have problem for "Hello me module" on homepage. It is now "My Network" on homepage.

The problem is when I want to input the username and it will jump to the login user name area.

Can you please check the problem?

Thanks.

Hi, Linda.

It's not an issue :) It is designed to work that way.
Active cursor is moved to corresponding area in main component... but browse to other page where is no JomSocial login form - cursor stays in module.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, Linda.

The simplest solution: don't display Hello Me login module along with main JomSocial login form.

We need to display Hello me module as all those info there and it is easy for people to login.

Forgot your password?
Forgot your username?
Resend Activation Code
Create an Account

How can we solve the problem?

We used to display another login module before but the "Create an Account" link does not corrent and it will link the joomla register page.

We need to display the "Hello me module" as it shows better info after login.

Hi, Linda.

But you have the same links under main login form - it's all the same.
I recommend this extension: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a...les-management/10307 and set Hello me module on JomSocial pages only for logged in.

Other option is to remove main login form by editing JomSocial template.

You mean we need to add this Advanced Module Manager?

What is another module for login on homepage we can add?

Hi, Linda.

As you remember we advised you to change Joomla! core login module into Hello me module as you had issues with redirecting user after login and to registration form. So leave it as it is.

Advanced module manager just give you more options to manage modules. It allows you to display certain module only for Logged in users.

Options you have:

1. Leave it as it is
2. Don't use Hello me module on JomSocial frontpage along with JomSocial component login form
3. Using Advanced Module Manager display Hello me module only for logged in users (on JomSocial pages) as JomSocial component login form has all the same features.
4. Edit JomSocial template and remove component login form.

Yes,

I remember you solved the issues with redirecting user after login and to registration form before. After upgrade the problem happens again and then you changed it to Hello me module.

If we add the extention and then close the hello me module on the hompage? how can we add back Joomla! core login module and then solve the redirecting problem later.

Hi, Linda.

After considering all solutions I think that the best solution will be just remove JomSocial component login form.
This will solve your issue definitely... should I proceed?
