I wish to have the Jom Social menu / toolbar on every page. Is there some kind of module for that?

until now we don't have officially module for that. you can create new module type and using joomla menu module for that. but still need extra work. you need to coding and make new css rules for that.

Oke.. again... guess you did not see that i am a noob with coding... can you elaborate more? I need to style it? But how will it then show on mobile? not the same i believe...

about quick reply maybe your browser cookies expired.

Joomla it self having Main Menu Module. that module can show any menu types. But the style totally different with jomsocial toolbar. thats why you need make new style to make same like jomsocial toolbar. and show on mobile that depend with CSS also, but your site template must responsive already.

I have searched further and what i noticed is that Easy Blog & Easy Discuss have the actual Jom Social toolbar also above there extension. This is a great option of theres. Since you here offered only module -> CSS... i asked them what was there trick.

So.. they told me that i should have a look in this file :" 'JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/controller.php'.

Thing is, this is what my dev is saying: "I'm currently trying to get the jomsocial bar on other components in the joomla system and I got some jomsocialbar php codes from the controller.php. The next thing Ive to do is to add the php codes to the controllers from other components (for example: com_xius), but that one doesnt have a controller.php... So where do I have to add those codes. The structure will probably be different too..."

Since its your toolbar... maybe you could figure this out with us. Think that other members are also very glad if this would be properly solved. Thank you....

Jomsocial code using MVC (models views controllers), so if any components not using MVC. That the challenges for your developer, I can't help more about your customization demand. I hope your understand about this. because support team have limitation for customization.

my opinion, because Jomsocial toolbar basically using Joomla Menu Types, for customization no need follow Jomsocial code. Just make a new code logic using Joomla standard.

To be honest.. i find that a bit weird in this one. Jom Social is part of Joomla. Joomla concept is that you can build your own website according your needs by adding different types of extensions. By not having the Jom Social menu available on every page, really restricts Jom Social and will prevent my website showing as one.

It has been done by other parties... so i do not see why you could not help me in this one. I know that this also would be appreciated by other members aswell...
