JomSocial Expired Socialize Expired

Good Morning,

I have SEO enabled on my Joomla 3.2 website with the latest version of Jomsocial installed. I have Search Engine Friendly URLs and Use URL rewriting enabled in my global configuration. When this is enabled, the menu that is created by default after the installation does not allow users to view there profile when choosing "Profile" on the top toolbar for Jomsocial. It always takes the user to the Change Profile Avatar page, which is quite interesting. This only occurs in the frontend and does not occur when these global configuration options are not enabled.

Thank you!

Hi, Stephen.

It's because you set link to edit profile again in Community members menu :)

Golden rule: when you want to link to JomSocial page DON'T create new menu item that links directly do that page - use alias instead.

So I disabled links in Community members menu. Change them to menu links aliases and everything will be fine :)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
