Can't add a new profile field

I recently updated my site to Joomla 2.5.18 and updated JomSocial to 3.1.0.4. Most things seem to be working fine, but a student asked me if they could put their email address on their profile so I want in to add that, and I found that the new field and new group buttons don't do anything now. Is there a way to check if something isn't installed correctly?

Ha! I repaired the DB using Admin tools and now it works. :) Now I just have to figure out how to make it display on the front end :)
