we use JomSocial 2.8.4 and Joomla 2.5.16.

In want to include the about me section in the frontpage.index.php file to display this information in the frontpage for each user.
I tried <?php echo $about; ?> but nothing happens. The About me section didn't displayed.

Can you help me or give me a little code snippet to show the About me section on the frontage for logged in users?!

We use nearly the same code in frontpage.index.php as in profile.index.php in our own template.

No, sorry we can't update to the new JomSocial 3.1 version.
We have to use JomSocial 2.8.4 because of other third party components and a lot of custom work.

Can you provide us the code for the about me section in frontpage.index.php please? I think you don't have to access our backend to resolve this problem, aren't you?

I am setting my environment with jomsocial 2.8.4.
