Self activation or moderated activation of new registrationbased on domain?

Hi,

JomSocial gives the option to allow only users with an e-mail address on (a) specific domain(s) to register.

We were thinking of a variation on this theme. Could we:

- allow users from trusted domains to register and self-activate their new accounts;
- allow other users to register but not to self-activate so a moderator can check their registrations?

Hi, Frits.

Account activation is a core Joomla! function so you'll need to customize Joomla!
I advise you to ask on Joomla! forum if it is possible or hire a developer.
Also, please, check JED: extensions.joomla.org/ for any extension that could help you.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,

Thanks. On the JED is saw this plugin ; I think I'll have a chat with the developer. Yet it is good to have checked if there was a JomSocial specific solution.
