JomSocial Expired

I am having two problems and not sure if I need support from Jomsocial or Kunena or both.

1) Yesterday someone made a post in a forum, the activity stream showed the post and had the link to the post as normal. However when I clicked on the link it brought me to some random forum section where the post was not located.

2) When someone does make a post in the forums, and it shows in the activity stream, replies in the stream do not show up in the forums. So people who go to the forums looking for replies cant see those replies.

I think what is happening is...... I am running MightySites which allows me to have multiple joomla extensions but share the users. I can also have multiple forums currently I have two a main one and a gaming one. I think it is working off an ID system and pulling off the wrong forum.

Anyway, I think the simple fix would be just to not have Forums posts show up in activity stream. At least in my case. Is there a way to disable this?

Hi, james.

Please update access credentials to your backend. I can't log in.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

HI, james.

You forgot about secret key :)
But I tried on forntend and everything seems to be fine. Link redirects me properly.
Alto to reply...

So probably previous topic or reply was moved? Or deleted?

You could disable JomSocial Kunena affiliation in backend. Search in plugins and disable Community - My kunena updates.

I am running two forums with the use of MightySites. If I post in the main forum as you did yes the link will work. However if I post in my gaming forum it will not. If you click the link in the activity stream for the post I made with "show off your setup", it will take you to my personal law section not gaming.

I will try the disable plugin if there is no other quick fix.

Hi, james.

Try to enable: "Use URL rewriting" in Global configuration - remember to rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess in your main Joomla! FTP directory. If issue persist ten you could as Kunena support for advice.

Hi, james.

Yes, disable Community - My kunena updates. It should work.
