New messages on other peoples profiles

Hi JomSoc team, thanks for help and support thus far...getting there!

We have another issure to get resolution for. Scenariop below:

User 'A' logs in
User 'A' looks at user 'B's profile. at the top of the profile under the 'share status module, it says user 'B' has '11 NEW MESSAGES'. `Again is user a looks at user 'C's profile it says user 'C' has 4 new messages. When clicking the link, it brings up some new activity, that is similar to the activity that would be expected on the 'home' section. Could you please help on this issue. I am not understanding the purpose of this? or should we be able to see new notification of other users profiles when we click them as a friend?

Hi Manny, we'd like to help, but could you provide us with working links to your website?


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
