The predefined links for the users profile related pages on the community toolbar, now redirect the user to the 'select profile video' page. Nothing was changed, only updated JomSocial core and socialise template, both to latest versions. now nothing is redirecting properly, rendering our site unusable. The attached image is still set to Community/Profile but does NOT link to any of the associated profile features.

Thank you for your reply Pankaj, but I have resolved this problem once again, WHILE WAITING FOR SUPPORT!
I am unfortunately not allowing yet another stranger into our secure server. Next time perhaps if Joomlart didn't SACKED all the good staff from the JomSocial team, I'd be more interested in paying again for this poor excuse of a support service. PAID SUPPORT, MORE LIKE DELAYED SUPPORT!

WE WILL NOT BE RENEWING OUR EXTORTIONATE SUBSCRIPTIONS EITHER!

Hi
Sorry for the inconvenience, there is limited support during the weekends due to holidays,
You do not need to pay as you already have a subscription, I will share your feedback so on holidays there is limited support available.

The following issues have been observed since Jomsocial update and Joomla update to 3.8.5.
1. The JS related links that existed in other non JS menus would misdirect content.
I resolve this issue by following Sinisa'a suggestion to reinstall with SEF option disabled, this seemed to resolve the issue with menu items, but have since discovered further issues with other components demonstrating similar characteristics as the aforementioned issue, once I re-enabled Joomla SEF.

Hi
Could u edit the first post and submit the site details for staff, Also let me know what issue you are acing in the redirect so that we can check problem on your site.
Regarding the issue with 3rd party extension, I am not sure which extension you are using and what is the issue. If it's for Jomsocial, please make sure the extension is compatible with the installed Jomsocial version on your site.

I have updated access permissions and included login details for you.
However I would like to point you to the most prolific problems I have encountered this morning so far.

SEF disabled:

  • When listing videos within zones (groups) the item count for videos remains zero (0) while there are a varying number of videos actually listed and are viewable.
  • One member commented this morning that a number of her videos had disappeared from her recent submissions, (post updates).
  • The 'My videos' Community menu link fails to display and shows a white page
  • Both Joomla and JomSocial were updated with SEF and rewrite disabled.
SEF Enabled:
  • The Videos featured menu item produced by Minitek Wall component, prior to updates, displayed and connected to each video correctly, however now redirects instead to 'all-videos' and displays an error message 'invalid video ID.

  • I'm live online, if anyone is around to look at this issue now?

  • When SEF is enabled, there are a number of errors noted, but not had the time to document frontend issues and work on the administration. Hence the rare requirement for support in this non-isolated problem.

    Hi Zurkster,
The submitted admin login does not work: prntscr.com/ic5w23
The account is not activated please check and activate it.
For the video problem of Minitek Extension, it looks like you are using a 3rd party extension, kindly try to disable it and post the video on site, comment on it and see if issue is still present,
It can be an issue from 3rd party extension not compatible with Joomla/Jomsocial.

Let me know with correct admin login if the video still working after disabling this extension.

The extension by Minitek was functioning fine until JomSocial was updated, The error is NOT with Minitek wall. as it works properly with groups and user profiles without issue. Only videos displays an error. Most of these errors occur when SEF is enabled. as it was before updating, everything JomSocial related messes about, not settling until the .

Secondly the groups video counter shows zero always despite the fact that the group is displaying said videos. Lastly when one enables
When you select the 'videos' under a users profile, it leads to a white page only. Not the users video list.

NONE of these errors were present BEFORE updating JomSocial to v4.5.0

    Hi
Minitek is 3rd party extension and works with its own feature, As i can see it offer the integration with Jomsocial.
Jomsocial or any other extension needs an update for new features, bug fixes and improved code. Please check the Minitek video issue with extension provider as it supports Jomsocial 4.5 or not. If a Video not working that is from Jomscoial and view of the video is from Jomsocial that we can say as an issue.
I checked your site and the video was playing on Jomsocial, the screenshot I shared with the live chat on your site.
Kindly try to clear browser cache and if you found any video in Jomsocial is not working, share the direct URL of the video with me. I will check it again.

This has nothing to do with Minitek!
This problem is present without Minitek installed!
The problem is that when SEF option is enabled now, most VIDEO related features within JomSocial all efforts route to the 'ALL VIDEOS' page and displays the error " INVALID VIDEO ID.

This error is prevented only by disabling the SEF option in Joomla Global configuration.
This was not an issue prior to updating JomSocial component.
Since updating, existing menu links to JomSocial features had to be removed, due to a conflict created by the altered code of the JomSocial community toolbar.

With SEF still disabled, the video count at he top of each JomSocial group indicates (0) despite there being many Youtube linked videos in each respective group. The video counts were fine BEFORE the JomSocial update.

At the moment with the essential SEF enabled, our website will direct and link correctly to all non-JomSocial content, however all aspects of the JomSocial features function APART from certain aspects of the JomSocial VIDEOS feature.

This seems to have a knock-on effect with third party components, for my example, Minitek Walls.
But I have to stress again, that Minitek Walls are not in conflict with JomSocial profile, groups, images and events features.
    ONLY VIDEOS IS BEING AFFECTED.
I completely REMOVED Minitek Walls and the VIDEO LINKING PROBLEM CONTINUES.
This misbehaviour evident still in YOUR OWN VIDEOS module.

This is the point I reiterate about JomSocial's support service. When it is required (on the rarest of occasions by us) It takes allot of effort to get anything done in any realistic time frame. I gave you full SU login details, even checking the account myself to ensure you could login, only to discover our firewall blocked you for concealing your IP address. Of course the firewall is going to prevent anonymous and proxy access. It's only safe practice.

I dont know if it helps you, i had the same issue with video invalid id. A new installation solved the problem. I downloaded the package again from jomsocial site and reinstalled it.
Other idea would be to delete the toolbar menu from database and then reinstall the jomsocial on top of the installation you already have.

    Hi
Video are playing fine on your site when SEF i enabled as well.
Also on your site, you are not using Vidoe menu of Jomsmocial that need to show and play videos.

The video wall menu is published on your site that is from Minitek component not from the Jomsocial.
I enabled SEF option and play video from the popular module and also from the profile there is no issue in URL and playing video.

The camera icon menu is from Minitek, I recorded a screencast as well. and posted in the first post as provided for you.
You can check and confirm there is no issue in the video from Jomsocial.
