I am running Jomsocial 4.2.4 at the moment. I would like to know how simple the upgrade would be.
My members have different locations associated with their profiles (up to 4) and I was wondering if the new version has made any changes here.
Also I have a custom plugin that allows my client to upload images that will display on the member profile.

Current version is 4.5. Upgrade should be easy - but to be sure, just make a safe copy using Akeeba Backup.
Download latest package from here:

Unzip it and install using Joomla! Installer (like any other extension) just on top of your existing version.
Upgrade won't touch your user data. But you need to be aware that latest version introduces many changes like ACL and chat that replaces PMs.
