and how do i increase the width of my templete to 1280

Shadow Theme is for the Jomsocial style only. The width is the template you are using on your site.
You are using Protostar default Joomla template. Here are the steps help you to change the Protostar template width

I have one more question. all the other themes are working fine but shadow theme happen have a problem. the theme that I have currently activated is shadow but it displays some large icons and really weird. can you check? slp.serq.biz/

Kindly check the class files are not loading on your site due to permission issue.
Its giving 403 error: prntscr.com/hzax71
Check it with hosting provider to give full permission so the file will load and work fine.

1.how to get the same fonts as in original theme? my installed theme shows joomla default fonts.
2.how to activate the top blue colour header?
3.why does my installed theme show as very basic and looks nothing as original theme? is it a stylesheet problem?

js-shadow.demo.joomlart.com demo based on T3 based template and your site using Joomla default template.
Except this everything is same.
You can use T3 blank template and customise the template to get same look, for the theme its same on your site like in the demo :)
