Updating Jomsocial from 3.2.0.6 to 4.2.3

I have a site using jomsocial 3.2.0.6 and want to update to 4.2.3 Ca you help with this once I have purchased a professional subscription? The Joomla version is 3.2.3 and is hosted on AWS using 5.6 php. The site is www.executivemuslim.com

As much as I'd love to help, your request is beyond what we're able to do for customers.
You need to upgrade on your own. If you'll have issues on the way - we'll help you.

Just follow this instruction:

0. Make a safe copy of your whole system (files and database)
1. Browse to Backend -> Extensions -> Extension Manager -> Manage
2. Search all extensions using filter "com"
3. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
4. Search all extensions using filter "jom"
5. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
6. Search all extensions using filter "js"
7. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions​
8. 6. Search all extensions using filter "azrul"
9. Uninstall it.
10. Download latest JomSocial package from here: www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses
11. Unzip it
12. Install com_community package via Joomla! installer
13. Follow installation steps

Download version 4.0.10 from here: www.jomsocial.com/download-old

Install it.

Then just install 4.2.6 on top of your existing version. Do the same for 4.3.5 and finally 4.4.5 and 4.5.

EDIT:

Do not hesitate to upgrade to 4.5 and do not stop with 4.2.3 as this version is not supported anymore (I mean 4.2.3 is not).

Hi Michal, I have managed to update on a test site up to 4.3.5 but when I tried to install 4.4.5 I got this error message: Fatal error: Class 'Joomla\String\StringHelper' not found in /home/allinspi/public_html/em/components/com_community/helpers/string.php on line 14

The Joomla version is 3.2.3 and php 5.6.32
Any suggestions please?

It's because Joomla! version is too low. You need to upgrade Joomla! to latest version now.

OK MIchal I managed to do that OK but when updating to 4.4.5 from 4.3.5 it hangs when updating the database ?

Have you been able to login and give the update a try ? It still hangs at updating database for JomSocial 4.4.5

I have created a register link on the demo site www.allinspired.co.uk/em and when I press submit again it does nothing. I think the database is causing this issue but not sure, Is this something you can help me with ?

Please, try to upgrade to 4.5 not 4.4.5.
I've checked your site and I dind't saw any upgrade attempt.
