This is a pre-sales questions on JomSocial for Joomla 3.8x. I want to create a new Joomla site that is a dating/marriage website. I would like to know if your JomSocial extension can be used and configured for a dating website.
Basically, it would function like a directory where men/women can create and post their online profiles and they can send/receive emails from other profiles. I would need it to be able to use ACL permissions to adjust/limit options/features available for free/paid members/profiles on the site.
I have never used JomSocial, but I have used Joomla for all of my websites for many years. I have read great reviews about JomSocial in the JED with all the add-on extensions the component has. So I know your JomSocial extension is excellent. I just need to know how it can be configured for a dating website.

Yes, certainly, you may use JomSocial as dating site. In a fact many uses it that way :)
In JomSocial you may create different profile types and assign it to Joomla! user groups.
Then set appropriate access rights e.gadd photos or videos etc.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Do you have any links to sites that use JomSocial as a dating site that I could look at?
The reason I ask is that I view the JomSocial demo and I can see clearly how it would be a great social extension, like a Facebook inside of Joomla. But what's not clear is how it can be used specifically as a dating site with limited access for guests, and full feature access for paid members, like you see on the popular online dating sites.
Based upon the huge popularity of JomSocial, it probably can do all the features and functions that I need to create a dating site in Joomla. But since I've never used JomSocial, I would like to see examples of it being used as a dating site.
Also, are the add-on extensions to the JomSocial demo that will add dating site features to the JomSocial component?

As for extensions for dating site - you'll probably need something to manage subscriptions. So you may check RS!membership, PayPlans or Membership Pro.
