JomSocial 4.5 upgrade

Good day Pro’s,
I am now getting an update message from my back-end control panel that informs me that a new version of JomSocial is available. I am on 4.4.5 and 4.5 is available. My license is current so I checked the “JomSocial” checkbox and then selected update and got the following screen you will see in my screen shot below.



I then clicked on the “here” trigger up in the pink error box and was taken to my license page on the JomSocial website and you will see from the screen shot below that my license number is active and correct in my Joomla control panel.




Now I know what you may be thinking. “David, why don’t you use the Joomla Installer app.” LOL, Well, for some reason I can’t find it. It was on my site because I remember installing it, but it’s not there now. Maybe it got deleted when all this reconfiguration work was being done when we tried to get it to upgrade to this new 4.4.5 version I am now on. I don’t know. None-the-less, I have a new version of JomSocial again and once again I can’t upgrade. LOL. Any help will be appreciated.

Please, make sure that cURL is installed and enabled on your site.
Check also if allow_url_fopen is set to ON.
Please, contact wit your hosting provider to help you checking that.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
