Old Site Upgrade?

JomSocial Expired

Hi, I have ignored my site for way too long. Joomla is up to date, but JomSocial is on version 3.2.1.5. When I go to the admin component page for JomSocial everything is white. Is it possible for me to purchase and upgrade this site easily? If so I may consider buying the new version and brining this old site back to life. Thanks!!

HI, Andrew.

Thank you for contacting us.
If you upgraded to latest Joomla! but use JomSocial 3.2.1.5 then it won't work as it's too old.
You need to upgrade it to latest version 4.5.

But first you need to renew your license :)

1. Log in to jomsocial.com.
2. Browse to www.jomsocial.com/my-account
3. Choose product to renew
4. Click blue RENEW button at right
5. You'll be redirected to shopping cart
6. Choose renewal plan (by default 12 months is set, if you want 6 months - click on dropdown).
7. Set payment option
8. Click proceed.

Then just:

0. Make a safe copy of your whole system (files and database)
1. Browse to Backend -> Extensions -> Extension Manager -> Manage
2. Search all extensions using filter "com"
3. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
4. Search all extensions using filter "jom"
5. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
6. Search all extensions using filter "js"
7. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
8. Search all extensions using filter "azrul"
9. Uninstall all JomSocial related extensions
10. Download latest JomSocial package from here: www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses
11. Unzip it
12. Install com_community package via Joomla! installer
13. Follow installation steps

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
