Our documentation do not cover basic Joomla! administration as there are many tutorials in the Web.
Right after installation your site layout may differs - it's because Joomla! comes with some default modules enabled and assigned to positions.
Installing template won't change their position assigment or disable any modules.
You need to do that manually after installation.
So it's just module reassignment and enabling JS Toolbar.

I know that you expect that after installation everything will be set like on demo but this is how templates works in Joomla!
Changing or installing new template won't change current Joomla! settings.

Please, open a thread on our support forum: www.jomsocial.com/forum , provide site backend access and I'll configure it for you.

Ok done, Your site is almost like our demo now..
You only need put website logo on module "Community Toolbar for Socialize Template"
