Maybe your event need moderation first, please check on Jomsocial backend->Events->Events Setting->set "Moderate Event Creation" to No,

the event configuration is fairly moderate, and creation is up to no.
The user had already used this feature in the past.

I just tested this, and the event is working fine.. I created new one and can see the evenet detail as well.

This issue cuased by ACL configuration, please make sure all Joomla User group has options to allowed create and edit event.
For further, please you look into this configuration /administrator/index.php?option=com_config&view=component&component=com_community
