Hi there.. I notice when logging in to Jomsocial .. rather than logging into the current page it sends you back to the front page which is really not user friendly for site members.
Also you may set landing pages for log in, log out and failed login.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Thanks for that.. however I already have the redirect plugin set to previous page. The toolbar by the way does not have this setting... so do they conflict?
If You are using mod_community_bar as JS Toolbar is has its own redirect on login setting. Unfortunately if you set login redirect to default it does not default to setting set in plugin JomSocial Redirect. Maybe it should? Or maybe there should be option in mod_community_bar to redirect to current page, besides all others?
After clearing cookies all things started working. Setting module JS Toolbar (mod_community_bar) to "Default" on option "Login Redirect" and setting Plugins: System - Jomsocial Redirect option "Redirect back to previous page" to "Yes" redirect to previous page, works! Logging in on any page redirects user to that page after successful login.
