JomSocial Active

I am currently trying to decide where to host my very large network it is now between socialgo and jomsocial. I will need an in depth answers to the following questions:
1) Do I need to purchase a plan before seeing demos, designing and all add ons.
2) How do I navigate to my home page to create a network.
3) I would like to have a/v chat rooms and all of the extras that socialgo is offering, which plan should I choose. (My members may grown to about 1,000+, which plan is recommended for medium size networks??

Your prompt answers to these questions is critical, as I have already signed up for socialgo and paid for the first month but my trial perios will be over in 5 days.
Please add links to each question asked above so that I can see what I am choosing to buy.

Thank you very much.

HI, Terrie.

Thank you for contacting us.

1. No, you don't need to purchase in order to see or test demo site. It's available publicly here: www.jomsocial.com/demo

2. JomSocial is a Joomla! extension so you need to have Joomla! site installed and configured. That gives you total independence - you decide how users navigate on your site and how do they get or see frontpage. Joomla! is a CMS so nearly all things you may set up on your own.

Socialgo do not allow you to set things on your own and you can't choose own hosting. They just allow you to use their app on their own server. With JomSocial and Joomla! you may choose own server, add many additional features (Joomla! extensions). And After your subscription expires (after 6 months), you may continue using your site without any limits.

3. The most popular plans is JomSocial PRO, it offers you renewal discount and many additional apps for free. Here you may read about JomSocial features: www.jomsocial.com/features

Socialgo and JomSocial will help you to build own community but they are much different. Socialgo is a hosted solution while JomSocial is a extension for Joomla!. Socialgo offers you monthly subscription so after it expires you lost or get limited access... while Joomla! and JomSocial is your won. After subscription expiration no limitations are applied. You may also move your site from one hosting to another, do copies or mirror sites. You may create unlimited community sites (thus only 3 of them will be supported).

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
