Good day Pro's,
I have tried to install JomSocial 4.4.1 4 times now and every time I do it, it just sits there with the Joomla logo rotating for like 10 plus minutes. Does it really take that long to load this new version? I just tried installing JomSocial 4.4.1 again on my site and it ran for 25 minutes and still did not install. The way I am doing the upgrade is by going to Extentions -> Manage -> Install and then I am dragging and dropping the new com_community_professional.4.4.1 file onto the Joomla drag and drop screen. It starts and the Joomla logo is going around in circles for like 25 minutes. I have use this many times but it's never done this. Am I doing something wrong?

I just provided all the log in information for our one site, sshag.com. I am not upgrading MADD Talent at this point. I will upgrade MADD Talent after I do Sshag and see how it all goes. I have a log of customization on MADD Talent and I don't want to lose it at this point until I know the site is backed up and safe.

Thanks,

Davdi

HI, David.

Thank you for contacting us.
All steps are fine... weird. Could you do a screen-cast of this issue?
Also, if you provide site credentials I'll take a look.

1. Edit your first post.
2. Click switch below main text field: prntscr.com/fk3hdg
3. Provide your site details: backend URL, admin credentials and FTP: prntscr.com/fk3hwz
4. Let us know that you provided credentials by posting in the same thread.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Michal,
Hello again. I have added the site details to Sshag so you can take a look. If you take the time to go ahead and upgrade the site with the new version, 4.4.1, that's just fine, but please make sure you let me know what you did to get it to work as I will still need to do this to MADD Talent and I don't want to ask you again.

Thanks,

David

HI, David.

Strange indeed - I have the same result.
Could you edit your first post and provide FTP credentials?

HI, David.

Issue is caused by your server settings. Max upload size is 8MB while JS installation package has a bit more.
Please, increase max file upload size in your server settings.

Michal,
I don't know if I may have understood what you were tying to tell me on this. I just changed the upload file to 64 MB nad it was at 50 MB, but it's still not working. Please look at the attached screenshot and let me know if I am doing the right change.

thanks,

David

Never mind ,you were absolutely correct and I did eventually figure it out. I just loaded version 4.4.1 and now I get to go play. Have a great day.
