I would like to remove the Share Box from the Frontpage and from the Profile-page so that members can only post in the Groups.
How can this be done?
Thanks!

HI, LIsa.

The best and easiest option is to hide it with CSS. Please, try this:

.joms-main .joms-postbox-tabs {
display: none !important;
}
.joms-main #joms-group--stream .joms-postbox-tabs {
display: block !important;
}

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Thank you!
The Share Box is removed, but the bar in the top that goes with the share box is still there (the bar where you choose to add photo, video, etc). How can it be hidden, please?

Hi, Lisa.

Okay, code was updated in my previous answer.

Well, the bar with status, photo, video & event is still visible.
Only the box where you put the text is gone.
I really hope this can be hidden with CSS as it's a really simple way to get this done :)

Hi, Lisa.

My solution works perfectly for main activity stream: snag.gy/OiLRN5.jpg
Please, make sure that you cleared browser cache after you upgraded code I provided.

Hi again. Yes I refresh and look on other computers and the only thing that is hidden is the text box itself.

Hi, Lisa.

Okay, I need to take a look at this.
Please, provide me your site URL and frontpage credentials.
You may edit your first post here and click the switch under main text field so credential filed will appear - that's the only way to provide us credentials safely.

I got it to work by adding this to the code:
ul.joms-list.inline {
display: none !important;
}

Here's the whole code:

.joms-main .joms-postbox-tabs {
display: none !important;
}
ul.joms-list.inline {
display: none !important;
}
.joms-main #joms-group--stream .joms-postbox-tabs {
display: block !important;
}

Thanks!
