Can't get my head around why you like to alienate your current customers.....
Buy a new JomSocial pro today and pay 80 dollars (149 @ 40% discount) , renew a license and pay 99 dollars.....
Time to rethink your bizz model I would say. Do you want me to buy the program everytime again on a different email / account?
Add some logic and at least some discount to loyal customers too!
Thank you for contacting us.
You mentioned a time limited promotion. Renewals are always discounted with -33% (for 6 months) and -40% (for 12 months). And this discount is not limited by time.
And why you say you need to set a new account? You may have unlimited number of licenses on your one account.
If new license fee becomes lower - sure I'll purchase another on. It's called a bargain :)
As Joomla! doesn't provide licensing support - license has a little meaning.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

As you show, it is still cheaper to create a new account then renew a 6 month account. Weird thinking and lack of support for loyal excisting customers.
This is short term money thinking not customer thinking.
Promotion happens from time to time while renewal discount is always available.
So no - tomorrow you could purchase new license for full price $149 and get renew for $99.... so customers that already have license are in better position.
