I am interested in JoomSocial social media script. I would like to buy the script and its plugins. However, I have some questions that I would like to clear before the purchase:

1- As I can see, there is no Page feature in the script. I saw Groups and Events, but not Pages. Can it be added?

2- I will mainly use this script for the events. I will need a well orgonized event creation and display system. Also, I would like to be able to run an event import plugin which will retrieve public events from other large event networks. I have this event import plugin ready, I just wonder whether or not it can run with your script.

3-I already have a running website using another script, but I am not happy with it, so I want to switch to your script. But I have some content and about 100 users there; can I carry them to your script once I bought yours?

4-Is your code fully open and unencrypted, which means that anything can be added/removed/modified? For example I would like to have more menues like, Topics and News.

5-In a few months time, I will have a few millions of events in my database which will be on a dedicated strong server; when everything runs fine on the server side, can your script handle this much of content?

6-As I see, the script is developed to run on Joomla sites; I don't have any joomla website, should I have one? And what are other requirements?

7-I would like to buy the Professional plan; is this a lifetime payment, or should I renew it every year?

My social media will be a platform about holiday and travel; so I need to be able to add some more features to the script. I have a programmer who could do the task. The only thing is that they should function fast and smooth.

In general, I plan a social network with a capacity to handle around 40 or 50k daily unique visitors with a few millions of data in the server. So I need a script which can support this amount of traffic. I will also need a regular overview and maintenance service. Please advice me if your script can do this task and if you provide long term maintenance service.

1. We dont have page feature for now.
2. Yes we have import event feature, you can do it from your local file or from external URL
3. If you used Joomla yes it can, at least jomsocial can get the username and password of your users, if you wanna totally import the data you need hire 3rd party developer to do it.
4. Yes, our code is 100% open source
5. Yes its possible, as along as your server can handle it, also this is depend of your server configuration as well. :)
6. You need install Joomla first, and install jomsocial on it
7. our contract it per 6 months, so you need to re-new the software each 6 months


I think our software can do you requirment, but since your site will be very huge, so you need hire 3rd party developer to maintenace it.

Hi Cemal,

I am sorry for delay answer, you dont need to buy Joomla, since it totally free.. please download the Joomla package from joomla.org and you can follow the steps to install joomla from here docs.joomla.org/Installing_Joomla , usually on your server they have a service to install Joomla instantly.
