i am in the process of buying this script as opposed to the script at skadate.com one of the reasons i was in terested in buying the skadate script is becasue they have a search feature on their demo whereby you can put a country location in the search bar and it will then give you the option of choosing a location in that country e.g germany + berlin when searching for members in your locality. jomsocial does not appear to have that feature . is their an add on i can buy to allow me to do that or alternatively can i add that feature via jomsocial's admin panel? can anyone help with this query ?.
Thank you for contacting us and interesting in JomSocial.
You may add such a feature as any profile field could be searchable.
So it will be enough to have fields like country and town. Both fields will be searchable so when you e.g click in certain profile on Country = Germany - you'll list all users that set this country on their profile. The same works for Town = Berlin. In advanced search you may combine those two fields.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
