On the new version of jomsocial, is it possible to have one user member base ie in this case, businesses, who provide the content for my site. Which also allows for the consumer to view the content without being a member or required to sign in. 1=businesses provide the content 2= consumers can view the content without sign in, view only

This could be done with a little customization.
You'll need to use Multiple Profiles features - you need to have two profile types one that could be seen other one available after login only.
Then you'll need to customize profile layout files - just a php condition if profile 1 then can be seen if 2 only after login.

- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
