So far we have two separate jomsocial websites and we would like
* user accounts synchronization: when a user is created on one jomsocial site, it should be replicated on the second so that the user can lon in on each web site with the same credentials
* when a user is logged in a site, he should be automatically logged in the second web site.
* each Jomsocial site has its own configuration. Both sites are not a clone of each other.
Instead of synchronizing both websites could we use a multi sites system such as JMS or MightySites ? This would make the system much simpler but:
* can each jomsocial site have its own configuration ?
* even if we share the users table, how can we achieve the SSO feature please ?
Thank you for contacting us.
Well, we didn't tried this solution but it should work.
You may ask both extensions developers if it would work with JomSocial as you plan.
As far I know both site are just connected and share users so all extension configuration is separated.
I'm not sure if they share login session record. Please, contact with multisite extension developer for any details.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

thanks for the answer. Both JMS and MightySites claim they are not able to only share JomSocial users. So we have to think elseway.
So if we keep both JomSocial sites separated, do we have a "JomSocial Connect" plugin that would work the same way as FaceBook Connect but for JomSocial: once you have an account on one site you can login on the second site.
No, there is no such a plugin.
But you may think of custom solution to share account data.
This may require help of professional developer:
