Hi,
I am very interested in purchasing your Socialize theme but I have a couple of questions before I do.
1) When people register to my social network site I want them to have to pay (either monthly subscription or one time payment) is this possible, if so is there a specific extension you would recommend for this?
2) Push Notifications for friend posts. Is there a extension for this or a way in which this can be done?
Socialize is a Joomla! template - just a layout for site. So you probably ask about JomSocial.
JomSocial is a Joomla! component (extension) that adds a lot of features to Joomla! site.
2. Yes, JomSocial sends two kind of notifications: system notification and emails. So if any new activity shows up - system may send notifications. It's up to user if he/she want to receive them.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Ok great so, basically I need to purchase Socialize template + JomSocial extension to start my social network.
After installing both of these is there anything else I will need to make my website run like your Socialize Demo? Will I need to do any coding? I have very basic knowledge of this. I have used wordpress in the passed and found that very easy. its it basically the same in term of installing a theme and some plugins etc?
