I'm still trying to decide if I should go with BuddyPress, EasySocial, or JomSocial. To help me make my decision, do you have these features already on your current JomSocial platform...
1. Can Admins give users Verified Badges like Twitter?
2. Can Admins also be users as well?
3. Does users have the ability to add their social media icons, so users can link to their other Social Media pages?
4. Can guest subscribe to users profiles, so whenever a user posts something public the guest will get a email and the first one to know?
1. We have badges system. But they are not given by Admins but rather achieved for activity. Being active in Community e.g creating events, uploading photos etc. allow users to gather points (karma). For certain karma amount, user will have a badge.
2. Yes, Admins may be users as well.
3. No. There is no option to add social icons. But you may create special profile fields to provide social media URLs. There is also Twitter plugin that displays latest twitter updates. Profile may be connected with FB profile. And there are a lot of social media share options.
4. No. This can't be done as guests are not registered by Joomla! in any way (their user ID = 0) no action can be done based on user id = 0.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
