I assume that the Jomsocial menu (as per the demo) is created like any other Joomla menu, but I would like confirmation that this is the case!

More specifically, is it possible to enable or disable elements of the jomsocial menu, for example, I do not require Videos so if videos are disabled under Videos --> Video Settings, will this remove the Videos menu item? (Sorry, I tried this on the demo but it didn't seem to make an effect)

Further is there a possibility to add other menu item types to that menu?

Also, if this is possible on the frontend is it likewise possible in the Jomsocial administration menu ?

Thank you for interesting in JomSocial.
JomSocial Toolbaer menu is not a regular Joomla! menu.
You may enable and disable menu items but they may not behave EXACTLY like in Joomla! menus.
This menu is used for component interlan navigation, that's why it works a bit different.
Nevertheless you may add new items.

If you disable Videos in JomSocial configuration - you may safely disable Video menu item in toolbar.

No, toolbar - like any other Joomla! menu may be managed ONLY in backend.

When you say "Nevertheless you may add new items" how is this accomplished? I couldn't find anywhere to manage this with the admin demo.

This isn't a criticism, your demo is excellent and highlights how the component works but it doesn't really show how the component interacts with Joomla. It would be really helpful if potential buyers could have an understanding of this, for example the menu options available within core Joomla menu items, or the available jomsocial modules etc.
