Hello everyone,

if I install joomla social component on my joomla site, will it be possible for registered users to determine the privacy settings of their posts?
F.E. if someone writes a post, will he be able to set privacy that way that only his friends can see the post?

I am asking this since I read that u don`t support ACL.

Best regards,

Alp

Hi, Alp.

Thank you for interesting in JomSovial.
Yes, currently we don't support Joomla! ACL.
But it doesn't mean that users can't set privacy of their content.
Yes, they can set privacy for posts individually or set privacy for their profile, photo, video and content will follow those settings.

You may test that feature here: demo.jomsocial.com.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Fırst thank you very much for your kind answer.

To be honest I am still not sure how I can visualize this in my mind.

I want to install the joomsocial on a joomla blog site.
I want users to write their blogs/articles with joomla content or the k2 component.
Then I want them to decide if every one (even not site members) can see this,
or if only site members can see this,
or if only their friendslist can see this.

This is one question I have.
The other question is, if I can integrate joomsocial with k2.

And last but not least,
If a joomsocial user posts an article on the website, will it be integrated automaticly on his wall?

Thank in advance for your kind help,

Best regards,

Alp

Hi, Alp.

I'm not sure f there is JomSocial & K2 integration - please, check their documentation or ask them directly.
Currently there is no plugin that allows to display articles that ware created by user on stream. But there is a plugin that displays article list in profile.
