I have a website in the tourism sector. In my site I have two types of users: home users and business partners.
- The business partners are hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, etc.
- Home users can be of two types: standard and pro.
I would to use jomsocial and integrate it with my site, but I would like to know if:
1. it is possible to customize the joomsocial profile of each partner category and add other tabs besides those already present as Friends / Photos / Video / Groups / Events. (Example 1: the restaurants in their profile also needs the field of geographical location and culinary specialties. In the field of culinary specialties the restaurant will publish the pasta dishes, meat, etc.) (Example 2: a hotel in its profile jomsocial will also have the field with information about the geographical location and the field of promotions / last minute where he can publish and last minute deals going, coupons, etc.).
2. About private users can differentiate actions that different types of users can do (example: the standard user can not comment on a post and can not send a comment to other groups, instead the user pro can do these actions ).
before i'll buy your component I would like to read the documentation to better understand the functions. can I have a few pieces of it on demand?
1. It's not possible out-of-the-box, but could be done with customization, JomSocial is a Open Source so you may customize it to your needs. Please note that we support customization in very limited level so you may need to hire professional developer to help you with that.
2. You mean ACL. Currently JomSocoal doesn't offer ACL - it will be implemented in 4.3. But you may achieve that using 3rd party extension JomSocial profile Types (JSPT). Please, contact with it developers to be sure if it will fit your needs.

How can you help me about small customizzation?
If i would to entrust to my webmaster the deployment and customization of jomsocial in my site...can you tell him how he can insert the new field for each category in the source code?
i ask it because i would to know what is the limits of your assistance. If i'll buy "professional" or "supercharged" version can you help mefor small customizzation?
Customizations that we can support are rather small: css tweaks or file location and other similar things.
Inserting a new field is rather not a small thing. It require not only code change but also data base structure change as data placed int the field need to be stored some where. So you'll need to create a field and a function that will safe data in db. This will be extensive customization.
There are no differences in support between "professional" and "supercharged".

but yes, when new version is released you may upgrade.
Note that you;ll need to have active subscription to do that.
But you don't need to renew every time subscription expired... you may wait as you need support or want to upgrade. Just renew when you need.
