Hello,

1. Please advise what type of back end accounts are the most applicable for moderation of all activities bt except that of private messages.
Is there any way to make private messages invisible to all back end accounts?
2. Is there an extension for word profanity filtering that covers all the publicly submitted text?

Thank you!

Hi, Irina.

Thank you for interesting in JomSocial.

1. PMs are not visible in backend - they are visible only for involved users in frontend. Thus they can't be moderated.
Activities can be moderated by Administrator and Super User.

2. The only way to have bad-words filer in most places is enabling Akismet service in JomSocial configuration.
But still some places are not monitored like album titles, discussion titles, group names, event titles and so on.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hello Michal,

Thank you very much for your support.

I have uploaded a screenshot with how the PMs are viewed in the back end.
s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=16381115367835341416
Let me know if I understand this correctly or if we need to make other setups to hide them.

Also, Akismet seems focused more on spam and spam related words and was not able to block basic "bad-words". I was thinking more likely to an extension that allows us to add the words we like to block.

Please note that we already purchased jomsocial and we require a definitive answer regarding these 2 aspects:
1. is it possible to hide the PMs appearing in the "mail queue" section?
2. Is there an extension for word profanity filtering that covers all the publicly submitted text?

Thank you!
