Is Socialize and Socialize 2 different templates? How can i purchase the newest one? I have looked around and have only seen Socialize not Socialize 2.

That is same template, go to socialize template configuration, on the sidebar you will know you are using the old version or the newest one.

if you are using old version, you can click "Update now" to update it

So in the Community Toolbar for Socialize Template, only users can be searched? Or can events and groups and locations also?

On the newest zip package, that is the newest version, you wont get the old one, we always provide the newest version :)

Yes you right, it only for members search, event and group is not possible.

Why doesnt it give a predictive type of search? Similar to facebook with name drop downs

that is a great idea, we have plan for to do it in the future..but not sure in which version, because we should re-code some our core system.
