JomSocial Expired

Hello,

I am a current EasySocial customer. I love their product but there are two main issues that are driving me away (mobile loading and revenue share with profiles). I heard some pretty good feedback about you guys and I am considering JomSocial. I have a few questions before purchase.

1. Do you guys offer revenue share for profiles with ads? I saw an addon from you guys but it looks outdated and no longer in use. If you guys do offer, do i need any other addons for this to work?

2. Along with the Profile revenue share, is there a way for blog revenue share also? So users can post their own adsense code or their own ads in their blogs? And could I use revenue share with this also? I am guessing that EasyBlog is the best option to use with JomSocial for blogging and EasyDiscuss for forums, correct?

3. Are users able to upload videos from their files/mobile/desktop rather than only embed videos?

Hi, Will.

Thank you for interesting in JomSocial.

1. Which addon do you mean exactly? I'm not sure what feature you mean here. You mean that members earn money for displaying their profiles with adds?

2. As far I understand you need a feature that allows you to create advertising campaigns. Am I correct? Then you may be interested in iJoomla Ads Agency: adagency.ijoomla.com/ . It may be integrated with JomSocial and allows to display adds in stream.

You may consider to purchase JS + Ad Agency bundle: www.jomsocial.com/products/products/4-di...ro-ad-agency-pro/215

The best add on for blog will be EasyBlog and for forum I recommend Kunena.

3. Yes, users are allowed to link remote videos or upload their own.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi, Will.

1. Hmmm, the only option that come to my mind is to use Ad Agancy. Members purchase adds packet, creating a campaigns and add their own adds. So you earn on selling packets and members earn on displaying adds in their campaigns e.g GoogleAds or external companies adds.

I don't see any way to share revenue with members when add is displayed on their profile. It should be other way round, they pay small fee to be able to display adds (and earn on them) in community or particular on their profiles.

3. That's very easy - there is just a switch yes/no in JomSocial video configuration :) But be aware that you'll need reasonable HD space, server with recent version of FFMPEG library and be able to set cron jobs.
