We are working on an earlier version of jooma

However, since then , a lot of new features are available , such as:

1. The percentage bar showing when uploading pictures
2. The # hashtag s
3. When replying in comments to a post , using the "@" to reply to a person who has also replied to a posting


Now, we would really want these on our website which is has nearly come to an end of build, but has a lot of customisation done by my developer.

Please advise :


1.IF we get a FULL upgrade was done, to allow the NEW features mentioned above, will this be able to be done quite easily, or will it just knock all the customisation we have already done?

OR

2. Can we have selected upgradge from the new features, just allowing the 3 mentioned above features to be put on our site?


Please advise on both questions and any advice you can give to get the 3 features mentioned above for us to have, which we really want.

1. You will get those features easily, but your Jomsocial customization will be gone
2. NO this is not possible, those features are coming from the core system.

Well thats useless! each time we want to upgrade to any new features, we wont be able to ! not every good is it?

I suggest you have own developer, so your developer can apply the new patch without break your customization
