In past web development projects where users could upload their videos, one stumbling block I ran into was for the hosting company to provide FFMPEG on the server (due to server strain as the video was converted on the server). Many web hosting companies either didn't offer this or made it unbearably expensive.
What are the server/hosting requirements for Jomsocial video uploading by members of the social network, and to both Siteground and Cloud Access offer this in their plans?
This is the final bit of info that I need to complete a web development proposal for a customer.
I uploaded a page from our documentation wiki that contains video requirements.
You must contact Siteground or Cloud Access yourself and ask them if their offer meet JomSocial requirements.
We don't track their offers.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
