Pre Purchase Test Version

Hello All,

It looks like you have a very interesting product for Joomla but I am so used to being able to test and develop a product in a local test environment as there are so many variables and so much functionality but it is my impression that you have no demo version for testing. That is the case? I would like to test Linux distro or LAMP configuration in VM's, real life API development, so many things so is there no way to get a development version for some period of time? Otherwise it looks like you have to pay $299 just to test the product completely. Just from the demo site I have a number of video questions.

1. In the stream and video app videos can only be added by url. Is there no support for uploading videos and local video management?

2. What video formats are supported and is their a conversion to a native format for the player?

3. Is there any support or addon for real time streaming?

I could go on with so many questions but it would be so much easier to have a demo version to see what it is really capable of and what we will have to develop or integrate if possible.

Please let me know. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Steve,

Yes your right, you should do full payment first and you can download the package, but if Jomsocial doesnt fit your needs you can ask refunds www.jomsocial.com/refund-policy

answer another questions :

1. Yes you can upload the video from local, but you should make sure you have FFMPEG on your server documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Video_L..._Upload_Requirements

2. most of video extenstion can be used, and by default FFMPEG will be convert it to mp4

3. I am sorry, we dont have this feature

Actually you can use demo on our site www.jomsocial.com/demo or you check our community www.jomsocial.com/community

thank you

Hello Dimas,

Thank you for the response. Is there anyplace I can see the on server video implementation and how it works? I will look at the admin demo to see what kind of on server options are there and what kind of control you have over FFMPEG. We currently load on server videos to a separate server that does the FFMPEG conversion via an in memory SQL queue for performance reasons. Can we do something similar with your product?

Thanks again
