I plane to use joomsocial for a new site about dogs / owner
- Do you think it is possible to add extendesd fields in profile like master/detail : One user has multiple dogs and each dogs has fields like ages, name, etc..
- Is it possible to post to only one user (this post can't be read by other users)
It depends what you mean. If you mean to add few sets of the same fields - you could do that as you may add any number of fields to a profile. But if you mean to add option to dynamically add new set - like user clicking + icon and new sett will appear, sorry JomSocial can't do that at the moment.
No, you can't add post that is visible for one user only. Your posts may be public - for all members, for your friends or for you only. But you may use PM - Private Messages and this will work as post for one user only discussion.
Also remember that JomSocial is an Open Source what means it could be customized. If you have skills of if you hire skilled developer - he/she could customize and add new features to your instance. So nearly anything is possible with little or more effort. In many cases JomSocial is used as a base for developing something even more sophisticated.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
