I'm currently going through the 30-day money back for easysocial + easydiscuss. However I wondered whether Jomsocial now has the key things that I'm looking for:-
(1) A forum that is integrated with Jomsocial or integrates will with it. I think that Kunena+Jomsocial is not supported anymore.
(2) Achievement badges to go with the important Karma system
(3) The ability for users to 'follow' other users plus associated points.
(4) Requesting friends to join the website and userpoints awarded.
(5) Voting (or 'like') for comments resulting in points.
1. Kunena - JomSocial integration still works, but you're right, integration plugin is not supported by Kunena anymore so in case of issues you'll need to manage yourself.
2. Yes, JomSocial PRO has badges related to user points. So you may add as many badges you want with custom images:

3. Users can like other users profile and making friends what allows to tag them in posts. But there is no facebook-like feature to follow friends yet.
4. This can be achieved by 3rd party extensions like Invitex.
5. There are many user points rules but currently not for liking comments (but yes for profile status). Points rule could be added (skilled developer could do that) or you may integrate JomSocial with Alpha User Points extension to get even more powerful points system.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
