Hi, I would like to know if Easy Social can be used as an educational portal. Easy Social has a lot of great features but i wouldn't need them all for an educational portal. Can i make a profile private, Do i have the option to disable or hide certain features like removing or hiding menu items Friends, Invite Friends, Followers, Photos, Groups, Events, Achievements, Points Applications. Also i would like the ability to make files or documents available to specific users. Thanks.

Im not sure I'm the best person to answer how good Easysocial is because you have posted this in Jomsocial pre sales. But any Jomsocial questions i can help you with :)

You Can make profiles private but things like hiding the friends system would need some code hacks, it is a mian part of the core of Jomsocial. You can enable and disable points / badges. You can also set who can greate groups / events etc.

Documents can be added into group discussions. Please visit demo.jomsocial.com where you can try out all the features frontend and backend.
