Will the jomsocial template allow companies to pay for advertising on my website to me? Will all users have their own page and is their a main page that all users can see ?

Socialize is just template for Joomla! dedicated to JomSocial. It has nothing to do with advertisements. You decide what is in your system and who is paying for any service to you.

Users will have their profile - a kind of their own page: with their avatar, about me section, cover picture. Profile page could be customized by user by adding applications to display additional data like "My Twitter Updates" and so on. But it's not a page that they are free to do anything they want by building custom html code...

So basically it would be impossible to place banners with or with out animation as an advertisement paid by a company who wants to advertise on the website. Whats the point if you cant make money from this.

What the heck is socialize im talking about jomsocial that is what im looking into buying. jomsocial is what i want not socialize. what ever that is. i need a good clean social network to place advertisements on to make money. if the coding doesnt allow it i dont want it.

Also, i get that the profiles do whatever. But is there a main page where all users can post stuff that everyone can see like a news feed on facebook. Meaning i want a main page where people can post stuff and see it even though they are not friends with that person. My vision is the social network is a community so every one can contribute to the community on the main page and not just privately on their own page
