I'm building a restaurant website using Joomla. I'll use a Rockettheme template for the design. I want this site to be social (activity on-site and sharing to FB/Twitter etc). Primarily though I'll just want to feature the social side in various module positions of the site and not necessarily be the main component of the site.

My questions:
1.So, for example if I want to show the Jomsocial activity feed somewhere in my site (beside the food menu items that would be the main component of the page) is that possible? Is there a separate module to show the feed?

2.Can I show a module of a specific Group activity feed anywhere on my site that I chose?

3. If I want to create a specific group for employees of the restaurant to interact in that cannot be viewed by other members is that possible?

4. Am I required to buy the socialize template if I want to color match my social elements to my Rockettheme template color choices?

Thanks

Hi, Tim.

Thank you for interesting in JomSocial.

1. yes, there is separated activity feed module that could be used on any page.

2. With some customizations activity feed module could display feeds from certain group only.

3. Yes, some groups could be private - it means any activity there is hidden for non-members and access to it is moderated.

4. No, you don't have to buy Socialize template if you don't need/want it. JomSocial PRO has Theme designer feature that allows to change certain elements colors. It could be also styled with css code just like any other Joomla! extension.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
